Privacy policy

Tipolu is a free personality test you play as a short walk. This page explains what we store when you play, why, and for how long. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.

What we store

• A random player ID. Created on your device when you start. It is not linked to your name, email or phone.
• Your choices. Which path you picked at each crossroads and how long you took to choose.
• Your typed answers at the campfire. Only if you choose to write one. We delete them 90 days after you answer.
• Your result. Your type, trait scores, your report and the name you give your companion, so your result link keeps working.
• Interest clicks. If you tap a button to hear about a future feature, we record which feature.

We do not ask for your name, email or phone to take the test. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell data.

What stays on your device

Your browser keeps your language, the scenes and questions you have already seen (so a retake shows new ones) and your player ID. You can clear them by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Who processes it

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the data above.
• Typesafe (Jev) and Anthropic (Claude) may receive the text of your campfire answers, with the questions they answer, to read which type they point to and to write the personal lines in your report. They receive no player ID.

Why we use it

To show you your result, keep your result link working, improve the questions and scoring, and understand which features people want. Under Brazil's LGPD and the EU's GDPR, we rely on your consent for the typed answers and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the test for the rest.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to hello@tipolu.com with your result link. We answer within 15 days.

Not for hiring

Tipolu is a self-knowledge game. It is not a clinical, diagnostic or hiring instrument, and results should not be used to decide on hiring, screening or promotion.

Children

Tipolu is meant for people aged 13 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above. For big changes we will say so on the home page.
